Your day at NTT DATA
The Senior Associate Solutions Architect is a developing subject matter expert, primarily responsible for consulting with clients in less complex environments to create strategies, transformational designs and the architectural vision for less complex solutions that address the clients’ needs.
This role follows the assigned policies and procedures to assist with the implementation of the best design for information technology architectures and related solution architecture descriptions.
What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities:
Follows processes in the development of small-scale, less complex solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure, or functional areas.
Provide multi-technology consulting services on aspects related to application software, infrastructure, and technology components.
Contributes to projects related to software and systems design.
Participates with colleagues to understand client requirements, collect data, delivering analysis and problem resolution.
Continuously monitors the external environment to gather intelligence on emerging technologies.
Supports a change program or project through the preparation of technical plans and application of design principles that comply with enterprise and solution architecture standards.
Creates relevant reports and technology roadmaps.
Works under guidance to design components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns, and methodology.
Manages proof of concept initiatives and create multiple design views to address the concerns of different stakeholders.
Reviews, verifies, and improves own designs against specifications.
Assists with the definition of meta-architectural designs for low complexity or smaller solutions.
Assists with the development of new go-to-market services and share knowledge on relevant verticals.
Knowledge and Attributes:
Developing knowledge of multi-vendor service integrations and cross-functional software, OS’s and infrastructure designs.
Good communication skills both verbal and written coupled with excellent interpersonal skills to build solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Developing knowledge on how specific infrastructures and application software are deployed in line with relevant methodologies and frameworks.
Ability to develop and leverage their developing specialist knowledge of reference architectures.
Ability to maintain knowledge of trends and development in technology domains.
Ability to keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
Seasoned ability to collaborate with cross functional teams such as sales, product, delivery etc.
Ability to learn new concepts and apply in the working environment.
Displays good client service orientation and is a self-starter and proactive in approach.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or business or a related field.
Certification and working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies (for example, TOGAF, Zachman, SOA, ITIL, COBIT, etc.).
Safe Scaled Agile certification advantageous.
Required Experience:
Moderate level of professional technical, IT or Operations experience within a large scale (preferably multi- national) technology services environment on the following areas: Software Development, Application Support and Infrastructure Support.
Moderate level of project or program management experience would be preferred but not essential.
Moderate level of client engagement and consulting experience coupled with solid experience in client needs assessment and change management.
Moderate level of experience in integrating the solution for the particular project with the business domain, enterprise concerns, industry standards, established patterns and best practices.
Moderate level of experience working in an agile development environment.
Moderate level of experience in developing, selling and delivering technical solutions.
