Your day at NTT DATA

The Manager, Human Resources is responsible for the implementation of HR strategy and the achievement of HR goals. This individual collaborates with internal stakeholders to provide coaching and leadership with the objective of enabling their HR teams to achieve the HR strategy.

This role works with internal stakeholders to ensure that the execution or human resources practices are in line with overall HR strategy. The Manager, Human Resources is required to manage and co-ordinate the HR budget and events calendar for the assigned business unit.

What you'll be doing

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the HR strategy in support of the organisation’s strategy and implement policies to ensure compliance.

  • Perform pipeline management, accurate people forecasting and resourcing activities in line with the strategic workforce planning model.

  • Train managers on the process of remuneration governance, evaluate and review the implementation of the compensation and benefits processes and drive the implementation of all programs.

  • Train and develop managers on the organisation’s leadership brand and ensure implementation thereof.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that training and development strategies are in line with business objectives.

  • Manage and co-ordinate the human resources budget, HR events calendar, compile reports and HR metrics.

  • Market the organisation’s employee value proposition internally and externally.

  • Co-ordinate and implement employee satisfaction and best company to work for surveys.

  • Provide ongoing training and education to managers on the performance management process to ensure strategy execution.

  • Effectively manage and co-ordinate the activities of a human resources team.

  • Provide support to direct reports in the achievement of HR goals.

  • Observe the external market by analysing human resources trends and recommending improvements to existing procedures, strategies and policies.

  • Manage and coordinate initiatives to solve employee and/or management issues.

  • Manage the complete Change Management and HR transformation in a matrixed organization that is assimilated through different legal entities

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Good understanding of HR functions, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and HR administration.

  • Knowledge of labour laws, employment regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure HR practices are in accordance with legal standards.

  • Familiarity with HR policies and procedures to maintain consistency and fairness in HR practices.

  • Knowledge of recruitment strategies, candidate sourcing, and selection methods to attract and hire qualified candidates.

  • Good understanding of employee relations principles, conflict resolution, and methods to promote a positive work environment.

  • Knowledge of performance appraisal processes, goal setting, and performance improvement techniques.

  • Understanding of compensation principles and benefits programs to ensure competitive and fair rewards for employees.

  • Familiarity with training needs assessment and development of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees, managers, and stakeholders.

  • Ability to analyze HR-related issues and recommend appropriate solutions.

  • Aligns team to deliver effectively.

  • Ability to make informed and data-driven decisions that impact HR and organisational outcomes.

  • Ability to use HR data and metrics to measure HR performance and identify trends.

  • Familiarity with HR technology and software for data management and HR administration.

  • Displaying strong leadership qualities to guide the HR team and support the organisation's HR strategy.

  • Demonstrating high ethical standards and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive HR information.

  • Willingness to adapt to changing HR trends and organisational needs.

  • Displaying empathy and understanding in employee interactions.

  • A focus on providing quality HR support and service to employees and managers.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with employees, managers, and stakeholders.

  • Previous Knowledge of Change Management during mergers and acquisitions is desirable

  • Knowledge of Project Management through Design thinking is desirable

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources

  • MBA from HR from a Top Tier University will be desirable

Required Experience:

  • Advanced demonstrated and relevant experience (more than 12 years)

  • Good understanding of stakeholder engagement at all levels in the organisation

  • Advanced previous experience operationally managing a team

  • Advanced demonstrated experience dealing with labour legislation and excellent understanding of local laws
