Your day at NTT DATA
The Channel Sales Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining client and partner relationships for the purpose of generating maximum revenue from those accounts. This role is responsible for selling NTT products and services through resellers / channels in assigned territories / accounts.
What you'll be doing
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Meet the assigned targets for profitable sales volume and the strategic objectives within the assigned partner account.
Use interpersonal skills to work successfully with the channel partners to achieve their sales targets and manage the pipeline and opportunities effectively.
Participate and contribute to the Business Unit Opportunity Review Board (ORB) and ensure that opportunities are maximised.
Maintain and expand relationships with assigned channel partners and vendors.
Ensure that channel activities are clearly and accurately communicated, and they can build broad networks across all levels in the business.
Day-to-day relationship management of assigned channel partners.
Act as a liaison between the company and assigned channel partners
Build, maintain and manage relationships with current and prospective channel partners.
Establish productive relationships with key employees in assigned partner accounts.
Develop and execute channel sales programs to drive revenue, deliver and exceed sales quotas for assigned channel partners.
Provide regular updates to sales management on the status of existing partners and the recruitment of new partners.
Analyse sales statistics to understand and assist with growth in resellers.
Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with partner representatives.
Engage with end customers and resellers at industry tradeshows and events.
Jointly develop impactful campaign initiatives with partner marketing to maximise return on investments.
Provide timely and accurate forecasting.
Collaborate and align with ecosystems to create up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
Strong understanding of business models in determining and delivering results with high impact to revenue and income goals
Knowledge of relevant market for channel sales
Good understanding of the dynamics of business in international markets
Excellent communication skills
Creative and innovative thinking and solid negotiation and influencing ability
Sound knowledge of channel business model, processes and operations
Emotionally resilient with a passion for achieving extremely challenging goals
Relevant understanding of solution types, products and technologies
Working knowledge of the IT industry
Solid presentation skills
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Business or Communications or related field
Relevant vendor certifications
Required Experience:
Seasoned experience in a corporate environment with specific focus on channel sales
Industry experience with a background of partner management
Seasoned related sales experience
