Your day at NTT DATA
The Change Coordinator is an entry level subject matter expert, responsible for working under the guidance of more experienced colleagues and assists with the coordination and governance of requests for simple changes, thereby ensuring the continuous availability of IT services.
The Change Coordinator helps to ensure that all changes are introduced in the live production environments of clients happen in a controlled and coordinated manner, ensuring minimal disruption of services.
This role follows standardized methods and procedures for efficient handling of all changes.
What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities:
Under guidance, implements the change control strategy, processes, policies and methods and applies and executes these accordingly.
Learns how to apply principles and disciplines as prescribed by ITIL to the process.
Under guidance, takes control of the complete change management lifecycle for simple changes and manages this process to successful execution.
Receives and process requests for changes (RFC) on a regular basis and ensure that these are classified and prioritized based on importance, impact and complexity.
Supports with assessing the risk and technical impact associated with the change and ensure that the correct technical team resolves or deals with the matter.
Under guidance, plans, coordinates and prioritizes changes based on relatedness and priority and use schedules to track, manage and report on the fulfilment of change requests.
Learns by participating in review boards as required to review the success of changes implemented and to conduct an analysis of the process.
Supports with reporting on metrics that relate to the reporting of the volume of changes, types of changes and no failures of changes.
Supports by ensuring that all changes to the project are documented, approved, and tracked.
Supports with monitoring the progress of the change and makes sure that it is implemented as planned.
Performs any other related task as required.
Knowledge and Attributes:

Basic understanding of both the technical and business aspects of the organization.
Basic project management skills in order to successfully coordinate changes across various teams.
Ability to identify potential risks associated with proposed changes prior to implementation.
Displays problem-solving skills along with the ability to think critically when making decisions that affect the organization’s processes or procedures.
Displays ability to anticipate issues before they arise while also remaining flexible enough respond quickly if needed during times of unexpected change requests from client or other business stakeholders.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration / Management Information Systems / Computer Science or related field.
ITIL certification required.
Certification such as an ISO/IEC 20000 Change Control Manager (or similar) is desirable.
Required Experience:
Entry level experience in change control and/or release management role in an IT services environment, preferably gained in a global IT organization.
Entry level experience working with cross functional stakeholders (internal and external stakeholders) to ensure compliance and process improvement initiatives are met on time.
Entry level experience analyzing processes and recommending improvements.
